Akos Rona-Tas has been a member of SASE since 2005. He is the co-founder and co-organizer of the Finance and Society Network, served on the Executive Council between 2012 and 2015, and as Treasurer between 2015 and 2018. Nina Bandelj has been a member of the SASE Executive Council since 2012. She serves as one of the editors of Socio-Economic Review, is past Chair of Economic Sociology Section of the American Sociological Association (ASA), and on Executive Councils of the ASA and RC09 of International Sociological Association. Nina is Professor of Sociology, Equity Advisor to Dean in Social Sciences and Co-Director of Center for Organizational Research at the University of California, Irvine. Click below for more.

Dorothee Bohle holds a chair in social and political change at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the European University Institute, Florence. She has been involved in SASE activities for a number of years. She regularly presents her work in the networks E (Political Economy of Industrial Relations and Welfare States), and N (Finance and Society). She has been an Executive Council member since 2016. Katherine K. Chen is associate professor in sociology at The City College of New York and the Graduate Center, CUNY. She received her Ph.D. in Sociology from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree from Stanford University. Her research specialties cover organizational studies and economic sociology. Alya Guseva has been a member of SASE for 10 years, is a co-founder and co-organizer of Research Network N: Finance and Society, and served as the Chair of Economic Sociology Section of the American Sociological Association. Eunmi Mun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and the School of Labor and Employment Relations at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She has been actively participating in international collaboration with scholars from different countries. In particular, she is part of Comparative Organizational and Institutional Network (COIN), which is composed of scholars from 14 countries, who analyze the patterns of inequality using employer-employee linked data. COIN’s on-going projects examine the growing importance of between-firm inequality and cross-national variation in gender wage gap. Click below for more.

Sigrid Quack is Professor of Sociology and Director of the KHK/Centre of Global Cooperation Research at the University of Duisburg-Essen. She is a longstanding SASE member and has also served as Chairperson of the European Group of Organization Studies (EGOS) and has been a Council Member of the Global and Transnational Sociology Section of the American Sociological Association. Julimar da Silva Bichara is Associate Professor at Departamento de Estructura Económica y Economía del Desarrollo at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain). He has been a member of SASE since 2006, participating as a Spanish Language Network Co-organizer since 2008 and member of the Organize Committee of the SASE Iberoamerican Chapter. As a member of SASE’s Ibero American chapter, Julimar has participated of the three editions of SASE Ibero-American Meeting (2013 UNAM – Mexico; 2015 UFRGS – Porto Alegre, Brasil; 2017 – UTB Cartagena de Indias, Colombia) as member of the organized and scientific committee. Zsuzsanna Vargha is Associate Professor in Accounting and Organization at the University of Leicester in the UK. As Global Ambassador, she represents the UK at the Economic Sociology section of the American Sociological Association. She is currently on research leave supported by a Leverhulme Research Fellowship, working on her book The Personalized Economy, on the rise of the data-driven construction of persons and the algorithmic prediction of choice, examining its cultural-technological precedents and political-economic consequences.
