SASE Executive Council Election Results 2025


Thank you to all candidates – and congratulations to our elected representatives.

We are pleased to announce the results of the 2025 SASE Executive Council elections.

First, we extend our sincere thanks to everyone who ran. SASE is strengthened by the engagement and commitment of its members, and we deeply appreciate your willingness to serve the organization and its mission.

We congratulate the following members on their election to the Executive Council:

  1. Arianna Tassinari (University of Bologna) – Re-elected for a second term

  2. Tamara L. Lee (Rutgers University)

  3. Imogen T. Liu (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam)

  4. Agnieszka Piasna (European Trade Union Institute)

  5. Aldo Madariaga (Universidad Diego Portales) – Re-elected for a second term

  6. Carly R. Knight (New York University)

We also congratulate Yuri Biondi (IRISSO – University Paris Dauphine PSL), who was re-elected to serve a two-year term as SASE Treasurer.

Finally, we welcome Marc Schneiberg, the John C. Pock Professor of Sociology at Reed College, who has been elected as SASE President-Elect.
