2020 Treasurer Special Election Results


We are delighted to announce that Nina Bandelj (University of California, Irvine) has been re-elected as SASE Treasurer. She will serve her second two-year term from 2020-2022.


Nina Bandelj is Professor of Sociology, Equity Advisor to Dean in Social Sciences and Co-Director of Center for Organizational Research at the University of California, Irvine. Her research examines the social, cultural and emotional influences on economic phenomena, globalization, and postsocialism. She is the (co)author or (co)editor of six books and multiple articles. Her most recent book is Money Talks: Explaining How Money Really Works (with F. Wherry and V. Zelizer, 2017). Bandelj serves as one of the editors of Socio-Economic Review, is past Chair of Economic Sociology Section of the American Sociological Association (ASA), and on Executive Councils of the ASA, Society for Advancement of Socio-Economics and RC09 of International Sociological Association.
