SASE President Akos Rona-Tas gave a series of lectures at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne, Germany, that was reported in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. The three-part series, entitled “Predicting the Future: From Augurs to Algorithms”, gave an overview of how experts make predictions in different domains and what dilemmas the recent rapid growth of prediction technologies pose for society today.
