Matthew Keller

Matthew R. Keller is an Associate Professor of Sociology, and an affiliate of the Markets & Culture interdisciplinary program at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. His research focuses on the dynamics of technological innovation, innovation policy, and the role of government in the innovation system and the broader economy. He is the co-editor, with Fred Block, of State of Innovation: The U.S. Government’s Role in Technology Development. His recent and ongoing research investigates changes in the U.S. innovation system; the governance of innovation; and the dynamics of developmental states and their relations to emerging industries.
