Imogen T. Liu
Imogen T. Liu is a PhD Candidate at Maastricht University where she works on the ERC project, SWFsEUROPE. Her dissertation focuses on the transnationalization of Chinese state capital in Europe. Her research interests cover subjects including state capital, sovereign wealth, foreign investment and the political economy of China. Her research has taken her on fieldwork to Hong Kong and Beijing, where she was a visiting fellow at the National Academy of Development and Strategy, Renmin University of China. In 2020, she was awarded a Short Term Scientific Mission by the COST Action
CHERN to conduct fieldwork on Chinese infrastructure projects in the Balkans.
