Eduardo Lizano is the president of the Academia de Centroamérica and teaches economics at the Autonomous University of Central America. He is a past director of the University of Costa Rica’s School of Economics and a professor emeritus of economics at the University of Costa Rica. He has acted as a consultant for a wide range of Central American and international organizations, including CEPAL, the United Nations, and the World Bank, is a past president of the Costa Rican Central Bank, and founded Consejeros Economicos y Financieros S. A. (CEFSA) at the Academia de Centroamérica.
