Christine Erhel

Christine Erhel is a professor in economics at Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM, Paris), and the director of the Employment and Labour Research Centre (Centre d’Etudes de l’Emploi et du Travail), a multi-disciplinary research centre gathering labour economists and sociologists. She is doing research in labour economics, building on an institutionalist perspective and focusing on labour market policy reforms, social dialogue, and job quality. Above analyzing the trends in France, she is developing a European comparative perspective.
Recently, she has been investigating the effects of innovation on employment and job quality in France and Europe within a Horizon 2020 projet (QuInnE). That field of research will be developed further through participation in the ongoing BEYOND 4.0 project (http://beyond4-0.eu/), investigating the relationships between new technologies and the future of jobs.  In another research project, she will focus on the links between job quality and workers’ health and well-being, using French as well as international data.
