Whisky-making at Yamazaki Distillery is notable for its wide variety of whiskies, unique at a global level.
You can choose how to enjoy the distillery. It is free to explore the grounds. 1,000¥ to experience an audioguide tour of the production (English/French/Chinese), but note that an advanced booking is necessary but very easy to make through their English language website. Do not miss the whiskey library, where you can taste whiskeys from all over the world, including Suntory whiskeys that are unavailable for sale anywhere. The distillery is located in Oyamazaki town, 5 stops away from Kyoto on the local JR train and also via the Hankyu Railway.
