Heihachi Tea House Inn (山ばな 平八茶屋), established in 1576, is located along the Takano River overlooking Mt.Hiei in the East. In its authentic Japanese garden you can enjoy cherry blossoms in the Spring and colorful leaves of maple trees in Autumn. At the entrance of Heihachi Tea House Inn stands the four-hundred-year old Kigyumon Gate, which was transferred from a Zen Buddhist temple.

Carefully selected sea food and vegetables are cooked only by the chefs of the top quality. For lunch it is recommend you try the exquisite combination of Japanese dishes, which are served from 11:30 to 15:00
