Call for Papers: Challenges and Opportunities of AI and Online Learning

We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the 37th Annual EAEPE Conference in the Research Area of [Y] Teaching, Pedagogy, and Curriculum Development for Evolutionary and Political Economics on Challenges and Opportunities of AI and Online Learning. The conference will take place on 24th–26th September 2025 in Athens.

This event aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and educators to explore the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI), online learning, and their intersection.

Theme

The theme for Research Area [Y] at this year’s conference is:
“Challenges and Opportunities of AI and Online Learning”

We invite submissions of original research papers, case studies, and reports on innovative practices that address the following topics (but not limited to):

  1. AI-enabled personalized learning environments.
  2. Adaptive learning systems and intelligent tutoring systems.
  3. Machine learning approaches for educational data mining and learning analytics.
  4. Chatbots and virtual assistants for learner support.
  5. Ethical considerations and challenges in AI-enhanced learning.
  6. Gamification, immersive technologies, and virtual reality in education.
  7. Online and AI-driven assessment and feedback.
  8. Accessibility and inclusivity in online and AI-powered learning environments.
  9. Impact of AI and online learning on academic workload and career progression.
  10. Policy implications and future directions of AI and online education.

Submission Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original research papers, case studies, or extended abstracts (up to 500 words) through the conference website by the 15th of February 2025. Accepted papers will be considered for presentation at the conference.

  • Abstract submission deadline: 15 February 2025
  • Notification of acceptance: 15 March 2025
