Are you interested in globalisation and the contemporary changes in the world economy? The rise in economic and political power of the BRIC countries and other emerging market economies? Or the implications these developments have for multinational corporations investing in, or emerging from, these countries?

The Institute for International Management at Loughborough University London is offering two PhD studentships for promising students interested in a broad range of areas relating to international management. The Institute incorporates a fast-growing interdisciplinary team of academics with an interest in the areas of international business and comparative management, with a focus on developing countries and multinational companies.

The Institute is engaged in current research projects which investigate:

  • The internationalisation of firms
  • Comparative Human Resource Management (HRM)
  • Comparative and international Corporate Governance
  • Political activities of firms in Emerging markets

The Institute welcomes applications from high-achieving students with an MSc in any area of the social sciences and a passion for research in one or more of the topics mentioned above.
