Elena Ayala-Hurtado

Elena is a PhD candidate in sociology at Harvard. She is a cultural sociologist studying issues of work, higher education, and young adulthood. Her research generally examines how people experience and respond to uncertainty. Her cross-national dissertation examines the experiences of young college graduates facing insecurity in spite of their high educational attainment in Spain and the United States. Her prior work has been published in Work and Occupations and British Journal of Sociology
