Dr. Annmarie Ryan is a Lecturer in Business Marketing at the Department of Management & Marketing, Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick, Ireland. Her research is concerned with understanding the complexities of the digital world with a focus on the shaping and reshaping of markets. Current projects in this area address the how digital technologies are changing marketing practice and the role of digital technologies in shaping ‘responsible’ market action. This builds on prior research interests in the areas of business-nonprofit interaction, cross sector partnerships and market innovation. She chaired the 7th biennial International Symposium on Cross-Sector Social Interactions (CSSI 2020) in June 2020, which was one of the first International academic conferences to go wholly online in response to the Covid crisis. She is lead on the Digital Futures Lab at UL, an innovative, cross disciplinary challenged based learning environment to address the SDGs and has led on the development of transdisciplinary research and practice labs at the University of Limerick. Her work has been published in Human Relations, Marketing Theory, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Marketing Management, and the Scandinavian Journal of Management.
